Eco Factor: Zero-emission motorcycle powered by electric batteries.
Last month we saw Mission Motors break the land speed record for an all-electric motorcycle by hitting a speed of 150mph. The record did show the potential of electric-driven motorcycles, but like most records this one too didn’t stand for long. Lightning Motorcycles has upset the earlier record with an all-electric motorcycle that reached a top speed of 166.338mph.
The record was set at the historic SCTA World Finals at the Bonneville Salt Flats, where Lightning Motorcycles’ electric machine became the world’s fastest production electric motorcycle. Of course, these machines won’t reach your garage anytime soon, but they do prove that electricity-powered motorcycles have the capability to be fast and quiet at the same time.
