Eco Arts: Power Flower art sculpture makes electricity to illuminate itself after dark

While most may think that harnessing solar and wind energy is difficult, the folks over at Art Energy Design are trying to change the opinion of the masses with a whimsical art sculpture dubbed the Power Flower.
The flower sculpture is equipped with tiny solar cells on its leaves, and a small wind turbine on the flower’s petals. The energy generated by these systems is collected in a battery installed toward the base of the sculpture, which is then used to illuminate multi-colored LEDs after dark.
